System Requirements
At this time, the AutoBackup software client can only operate on a Microsoft Windows operating system. Macintosh and Unix/Linux versions are currently in development and will be available in the near future. It is recommended to install the AutoBackup client on the best name brand hardware available for optimal performance.
Minimum System Requirements:
- Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 2003, 2008
(Macintosh, Linux and Unix OS's are backed up through FTP, FTPS, SFTP, or Samba)
- x86, x64 (64 bit recommended)
- 1GB RAM+ for 1M files, 2GB RAM + for a larger number of files
- CPU 1.2GHZ +
- Storage Requirements A minimum requirement of 2GB> of storage space is recommended but is purely based on usage patterns. The more you backup the larger this local storage will grow. Note: A local copy of the data is NOT stored on the client unless the local storage component is enabled.
